The IEA has singled out Norway as an example to emulate in terms of its approach to methane emissions. Indeed, the energy agency has said that if all oil and gas companies were performing as well as those in the Nordic country, methane emissions from the sector would fall by 90%.

So what is the secret of the Norwegian oil and gas sector’s success in tackling this potent greenhouse gas?
